The probe holder MT730 is meant for scanning inspection objects by means of EMAT transducers of S73 series. The gadget can be recommended for manual ultrasonic measurement for smooth sliding over the surface of ferromagnetic inspection object while magnetic force attraction caused by permanent magnets in transducer.

The regular application of EMAT is couplant-free thickness measurement. For visualizing thickness profile information, a series of continuous measurements over the region of interest is needed. The S73 holder allows fixing EMAT transducers with a preset air gap for avoiding their mechanical damage.
