Indirect Shear-Wave Probe Holder for ACS DPC Transducers (IS-18xx Series)

The IS-18xx Indirect Shear-Wave Probe Holder is a precision mechanical accessory for single-sided ultrasonic S-wave measurements using ACS Dry-Point-Contact (DPC) transducers. It is designed specifically for use with the A1220 MONOLITH UPVT – Ultimate Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester.

In indirect (surface) mode, both DPC shear transducers are placed on the same surface of the material. The IS-18xx holder ensures correct angular orientation of the shear-wave probes, a stable and repeatable pitch distance, and reliable coupling pressure. These factors are essential for accurate shear-wave velocity measurements on concrete, stone, masonry, and composite structures.

The IS-18xx series supports several standard pitch configurations corresponding to all ACS shear-wave DPC transducers supported by the A1220 MONOLITH UPVT. This enables accurate surface-based S-wave velocity assessment in applications where direct transmission is impractical or where only one surface is accessible.
